Moving Forward with HSBC Bank - Brand Campaign


 HSBC Bank Malta hadn’t made a local brand film in over 10 years - but local businesses were thriving and were banking at the competitors. So we approached them with a simple, relatable script coupled with an elevated, elegant visual treatment that would speak directly to local Maltese business owners. We kept production small & local, and besides the sea captain, it was 2 cinematographers and me making my film directing debut while trying not to get sea sick.

This endeavor aimed to infuse over 300 million Euros into the local economy, specifically supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). My pride in this project stems from various facets. Firstly, it played a pivotal role in effecting tangible social and economic change, marking a significant milestone in my professional journey.

Personally, it marked my directorial debut in film—a cherished achievement. Moreover, the collaborative spirit that fueled the project was extraordinary, with each team member contributing their passion and expertise. Beyond its immediate impact, the project catalyzed a cultural shift within the agency, setting a new standard for excellence and instilling a sense of pride among all team members.

The ripple effect extended to the broader creative landscape in Malta, reshaping perceptions and prompting clients to seek work of similar caliber, thereby elevating industry standards and fostering a culture of appreciation for high-quality creative endeavors. In essence, my involvement helped redefine not only the agency's output but also the entire creative landscape in Malta.

We also built an AR experience for sailors to help them see what is coming.
